Here are a few of my favorites from my most recent project about Bud Adams, an 89-year-old rancher who owns 40,000 acres in Florida. I hope to possibly create a section on website with a larger edit or add a few selects to the portrait and singles sections of my portfolio. I'll miss working with my friend and former co-worker, Michael Kruse who wrote an excellent story you can read here.
After battling some of the worst gameday traffic I've ever seen, I was able to spend sometime in the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" before heading inside EverBank Field to shoot the Florida/Georgia football game. Other photographers said it was a lot more calm this year because it was "cold" but I thought it was a whole new level of tailgating for me.
While the Gators' season hasn't been great this year, I have been having a blast on the sidelines in Gainesville. I love photographing college football and it's even better to do it in a stadium nicknamed, The Swamp. While this year has been fun, I miss working with my friend Will Vragovic, a bad ass sports shooter who is now the lead Rays photographer for the paper. He taught me so much last year, I wouldn't have been able to take over the UF beat without all of his help. Besides being a great photographer and friend, he's also a badass who is kicking cancer's ass. Here's a link to how you can help him in that battle. Click Here
Thanks for looking!
I was sent down to Charlotte County last week for the Times to photograph what life is like ten years after Hurricane Charley devistated the area in 2004. It was amazing to see photos in the Times photo archive from ten years ago right after the hurricane and what life is like in Punta Gorda now.
I shot video for this daily assignment, but had some fun grabbing some stills for myself with the fuji.
Here are some of my favorites from the adult and children's parade over the last two weeks.
